2. A new beginning for America and the world – January 20, 2009, west steps of the U.S. Capitol, starting at 11:30am (music beforehand).

3. VR – Democratic registration in California was a record number -- 7,683,495 - 563,070 more than November 2004.

A. And a turnout of 79.4% - highest since the 1976 turnout of 81.5%.

4. Barack Obama won California by a record 24.1 points (61.1% to 37.0%) with a margin of 3,262,692 votes (8,274,473 to 5,011,781).

Election night was truly incredible. We were all at the Pasadena Hilton watching election returns. Then, at 8:00 sharp, we watched as CNN projected Barack Obama the 44th President of the United States. The room exploded with emotion, as all of our efforts culminated into this historic moment.
