TWO CAMPAIGN POSITIONS AVAILABLE June 1-November 7, 2008

Campaign Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator needed for United Democratic Headquarters (UDH) campaign in Pasadena, California. UDH is an independent expenditure campaign, not affiliated with the California State or National Democratic Party, but supported by eight active regional Democratic clubs.


WE OFFER:

A large and experienced volunteer base, a history of successful elections, a diverse population with a large voter target, and a dedicated steering committee prepared to support staff in any way possible. Compensation for each position is commensurate with experience.

WE SEEK:

Campaign Coordinator:
Must be a seasoned campaign leader:
1. To develop and implement local voter outreach, including voter registration, fundraising, absentee ballot program, phone banking, precinct walking, and Get Out the Vote (GOTV).
2. Must be able to supervise other paid consultants and volunteers effectively.
3. Prioritize staff activities to meet or exceed voter contact goals.
4. Create a positive working environment, and manage day-to-day operations in conformance with an established budget.
5. Political campaign experience is required for this position.

Volunteer Coordinator:
An energetic individual to develop and implement plans for:
1. Recruiting a diverse team of volunteers for campaign activities, including field operations.
2. Training volunteers and scheduling their activities according to ability, availability and interest level.
3. Maintaining a volunteer database, tracking hours and measuring success rates.
4. Developing and maintaining a volunteer recognition program.
5. Fostering a positive experience for volunteers.
